Before your Shoot.

Ok, so you've booked the shoot! and now you're freaking out. Don't worry- nerves are expected but won't last as long as you think. I always prepare my clients with everything they need to know before they even step in the studio. Here are a few of the most important things I tell my clients to help prepare themselves. This is an opportunity to put yourself first, so enjoy every second of your "homework" prior to your shoot!

Get your beauty sleep No one feels good the morning after a night out, so try

and skip the outing to get some extra sleep.

Hydrate! Our skin looks much better when we’ve kept ourselves well hydrated.

Skip the spray tan I know I know, you don’t want to look pale in your photos. No problem – it is much easier to warm the skin tones, than to edit with orangey tones from tanning. Like I said – I got you covered!

Ditch the bra + Hair Elastics Skip the bra the day/night before your shoot so it doesn't leave grooves in the skin and make sure to take anything off your wrist as well

Lotion up! Keep your skin looking fresh with lotion throughout the week before your shoot.

STRETCH! I mean it, STRETCH! You will thank me the next day, I promise you. Many of the requested poses can be hard on anybody, so make sure you take the time out of your day to really stretch and relax before your shoot. *With that being said, every pose can be altered to accommodate a range of flexibilities and limitations.

I have included some yoga poses below that are perfect for you to try before your boudoir session!

Easy right?! You basically get told to have a spa day, while celebrating everything about yourself in the most uplifting and positive way (Unless you forget to stretch... than there might be some cuss words screamed out but I warned ya!) So make sure to remember this tips and tricks next time you step in front of the camera!

YOGA POSES TO TRY!

1. Downward dog — helps with extended leg poses, or any poses that have you bending over.

2. Cat-Cow — helps with any extended spine poses (this is for the poses with the arched back ladies!).

3. The spinal twist — helps stretch the spine, neck and belly.

4. Pigeon pose — helps with flexibility in your hips and glutes.

5. Standing lower back twist — helps stretch your Latissimus Dorsi (muscles on your back that stretch across your sides).
