Boudoir Posing Workshop: Feb 2023

Taught by a Photographer and Model herself, she went over a detailed guide to posing clients with confidence. In this workshop we spoke about posing flows, the importance of boundaries, and body inclusivity. We were able to practice posing each other, as well as being the ones in front of the camera. As a photographer, I am asking my client to be vulnerable with me. But how can I ask them to do that, if I have never done the same? It is always important to put yourself in the others shoes, as it allows you to empathize with your clients on a much deeper level.

WPPI Expo/Boudoir Summit in Las Vegas, NV: March 2023

Attended 2 Key Note Speakers (Boundaries for you, By Pam Fields, and What Does It Mean To Have A Diverse Boudoir Community?) , Two classes (The Art of Boudoir and Creating Emotion in Boudoir), with shooting bays and several models of all shapes, sizes and ethnicities. I also attended the EXPO, and several Photo Walks, learning about different lighting set ups and situations, and how to create different looks and feelings in the photos. This experience was invaluable, and cannot wait to go back next year after applying all that I've learned to my business.

Spring Content Day - Bridal + Boudoir in Woodstook, ON: April 30th 2023

Content day hosted by two boudoir photographers from Toronto. Their were 8 sets, many different models of all shapes, sizes and colour. I was able to create some dark and moody scenes, as well as light and airy bridal boudoir portraits. It was a beautiful day showcasing local wedding dresses and vendors. It was a step out of my comfort zone as the lighting was not ideal in some situations, but it allowed me to get very creative and I love how they've turned out.
